OppenheimerFunds Appoints Value Portfolio Manager

OppenheimerFunds has appointed Laton Spahr as portfolio manager of its Value, Select Value and Small- & Mid- Cap Value funds, with effect from March 11. Spahr is responsible for all related strategies and will also serve as co-portfolio manager of the Oppenheimer Equity Fund. Spahr joins from Columbia Management Investment Advisors, where he was a senior portfolio manager for value and income strategies across institutional and retail investment channels. He brings with him a team comprised of Eric Hewitt, Kyle Bergacker and Daniel Hozian, which he will lead. OppenheimerFunds, including its subsidiaries, manages around $195 billion in assets, as at end-December 2012.
